: I would be glad to hear (through this forum or directly) from anyone interested in international dimensions of the CW - Union and Confederate diplomacy, the issue of European recognition of Confederate independence, the Trent crisis, shipbuilding for the Confederacy in Britain and France, the British roles in the blockade running operations, British fears for Canada, and/or Union and Confederate reactions to the French invasion of Mexico and the establishment of an "empire" in Mexico headed by an Austrian archduke, and related topics. All these are reviewed in my new book on the international dimensions of the war, "One War at a Time." It can be ordered from the major on-line bookshops and will be in bookstores by Thanksgiving. It would make a great Xmas gift for a CW buff! Would welcome your comments.

Hello Dean!
We love to hear about the views of Europe and how it effected the people there.
