![]() Subject: RE: Strangest Question... |
Ok,
As a reenactor, and I'm sure the others will agree, I have received some very strange questions over the last 6 years. (I will refrain from saying 'stupidest, as I feel the only stupid question is the one not asked.) A few examples: 2). Is that a real campfire? (to which my response is, "Stick your hand in it and you tell me." I've had no takers on that offer thus far.) :-) 3).Is that a real gun? 4). Are you real? 5). Were you alive during the real Civil War? etc., etc. Point made, I guess. But, my strangest thus far was one rainy afternoon, when I was asked, "When you are wearing that uniform and standing out in the rain, doesn't the wool get wet?" No lie! This was asked by an adult. I was too blown away to even respond. Before I could compose myself, the dude left. Which begs my question, "What is the strangest question you have ever been asked at a reenactment?" For you non-reenactors, "What is the strangest question you have ever heard being asked to a reenactor?" Regards, and let's have som fun with this'n! ;-) JR JR: Addison Hart |
