I was not a reenacting in a battle, but here is my first experience in reenacting and how I was almost wounded by the Confederates! lol
The Ohio Statehouse reenactment had a reproduction of Camp Chase, which was a military prison for Confederates. I was at the registration desk. Some Confederates were escaping to go to Saturday dinner at a restaurant. They demanded parking passes for the Statehouse garage. I could not find the passes in the registration boxes. My attempts to find the passes was going slow and the Confederate captain was getting very impatient. He was growing madder and madder. So I just gave him the box and he found the passes. Goodness, I did not think that I could become a casuality of the war at the registration desk. At least I was never charged in aiding in their "escape". :-)
Howdy Miss Moore! Egads, sounds like you had a close call! LOL! Well, reckon you could always carry a nice, long hat pin... [insert Very Wicked Grin here] Best always, WuzReb |
