Subject: RE: How much gear do you have?

Message Detail:
I often go 'campaign' in that I can usually carry in what I need in one trip ( and I don't mean struggling almost to the point of giving myself a hernia), but I most often tend to eat other things than hardtack and salt pork (like pop tarts, beefsticks, and so forth).

I have said before that authenticity in itself is truly a good thing, (and I do respect the true hardcore/campaigner/progressive, or whatever the proper term is this month, movement), but in my own personal opinion, too much of a good thing is not always good, so self-imposed limits should be put in place, and I will not do anything that jeopardizes my health. This is for enjoyment, and thus should not be totally miserable or dangerous, and it doesn't pay the bills.
