Message Detail:
Next weekend I plan on going to my first reenactment!what is the proper thing to do as a spectator?Do they usualy charge a fee to watch? any sugestions at all about being a spectator?
Vickie

Vickie,

1. Bring money for getting in the event and for the sutlers where you are bound to see stuff you will NEED.
2. Bring binoculars for seeing the battle and a camera of course.
3. Wear comfortable shoes to visit the camps and ask lots of questions.
4. Watch scenarios in camp, get information on joining so you can read it at home later.
5. Thank the reenactors who you like for the job they do. Everyone likes to be appreciated.
6. Soak everything in and let us know how you liked it when you get back.

Have fun,
CG
