Subject: RE: Hunley sees the light!

Message Detail:
Just saw CNN's report on the raising of the LS Hunley over lunch, and it came out of the water shortly before 9am today! They will be placing it in a tank of water about 15 miles away, and expect to have it completely excavated within 6 months. It was reported that they expect to find the 9 crew members inside, in a good state of preservation. Many artifacts, of course, are expected to be recovered!

Haaaar! the Hunley once again brings a shiver to the hearts o' the Union Blockade!! HA! what a historic moment indeed!... me land-locked mud puddle jumpin pard o' mine J.D. the Hunley is a testimony to 19th Century ingenuity and imagination the vessel looks so modern and sleek... as advanced as one could get for the"old steam Navy" era....
