I am pleased to announce that my second book on the Michigan Cavalry Brigade, One of Custer's Wolverines: The Civil War Letters of Brevet Brigadier General James H. Kidd, 6th Michigan Cavalry, has been released by the Kent State University Press. For anyone familiar with Kidd's terrific memoir, Personal Recollections of a Cavalryman in Custer's Michigan Brigade, these letters served as the basis for the memoir.
