Col. Devin, Sir,

It was my pleasure. We still have Brinkerhoff's Ridge and East Cavalry Field to do. That's one of my favorites.

I enjoy that tour. I get to beat the drum for one of my favorite causes.

Thanks a bunch for the kind words about the Lancers monument, JD. It's much appreciated.

Eric

For all you deck-swabbin' and flat-foot types, I just wanted to tell all how great Eric's tour was down Gettysburg-way this past Saturday. He took about 30 of us on his legendary Merritt and Farnsworth tours. It was great! All especially commented about the walk on South Cavalry Field in which Eric pointed out the great "Lost Opportunity" to strike the Confederate rear following the repulse of the Pickett/Pettigrew/Trimble Charge.

As well, Eric was kind enough a couple weeks ago to forward to me his Cavalry Tour of the battlefield, which will be up soon, with pictures, on my website below. Thanks again for that, ol' dragoon buddy!

If anyone ever has a chance to do some stompin' with Eric, don't miss it! (Hey, Eric, next time we gotta get some Quarters or Appaloosas and do it right!!!... no mules!)

J.D.
